Signed up for the Free subscription but was forced into Business Trial

Hi, I am new here!

I signed up for a free account but on the link to use Glide for the first time I was only able to move forward if I clicked on the Start Trial for the Business Plan (the $249 subscription). I was thinking to move into the Maker plan when I decide to move forward. However, I am not sure yet if I will want to move on with a paid subscription or if I will remain with a free account until I have my first client.

The Business Plan trial ends in 30 days. Will it convert to a free account if I don’t enter payment information?

Will I lose all my work when the trial ends?

I cannot find any information about this. Please help!

Thanks!

It will convert to Free after the trial. You will not lose any work.

If you intend to stay on the Free Plan after the trial, make sure not to use any Business Plan features, as your app might lose functionality when the trial ends. Here are some important points to keep in mind:

  1. Use Personal Emails Only
Stick to personal email domains like gmail.com, hotmail.com, or yahoo.com for your app’s users. Avoid company or custom domains.

  2. Avoid External Integrations
Do not connect your app to any external integrations, as they are not supported on the Free Plan.

  3. Stick to Glide Tables
Only use Glide Tables as your data source. Other data sources (e.g. Google Sheets) are not supported on the Free Plan.

  4. No AI Features
Avoid using AI columns or actions in your app, as they require a paid plan.

Thank you @david and @Hassan_Nadeem for the information.

If I signed up with my corporate account for Glide, will that prevent me from moving into the Free Plan?

I am going to give it a go with the trial, using only free features, but looking at how those paid features work. Then I will transition to the Free Plan until I have at least some prospective customers. As far as I’ve seen and played with it so far this is an awesome platform.

I appreciate your help and quick answers!

No, Hassan’s comment is more about your app’s users, not you as a developer.
