I’m just sharing an aha experience - maybe it is trival?
I had a problem when I searched in a page/tab which had multiple inline lists. The results only showned up for the last inline list on the page/tab. I had 4 inline lists on the same page/tab - and only results from the 4th inline list was shown.
You need to enable search on each inline list in order to get results from all inline lists
