Can someone tell me if this is supposed to happen?
I have a card collection setup with the services sold grouped by customer name.
I have a in-app filter set to allow the sales rep to filter data by service type so they can see all customers they have sold a particular service.
I enabled the search bar thinking that would help them find a particular customer in because that is the biggest longest list of data we have. It seems the filter limits the search feature to only values in the filter.
I guess I’m not sure why the two are connected. Can someone explain to me how that works or if this is a glitch?
I guess to me it’s normal that they are connected. If I filtered my list, I would want the search to only look at the filtered rows instead of all rows. Unless I’m misunderstanding the question.

I guess to me, they appear to be separate functions based on how they are presented to me in the Glide builder so I did not expect them to be connected.
I assumed (obviously wrongly so) that a search would allow them to search any data in that component while the filter would allow them to easily choose to filter the data by only the service type. I realize they can do a search of the words in and get essentially the same result so I will disable the filter.
They are separate functions to enable because sometimes you might not want just one, not the other.
I do expect them to be connected like Jeff said.
