Can you share an app where this is happening?
Is it possible that camera permissions have been disabled for the browser or that specific url? I think the image picker is different from the barcode scanner because the image picker still uses the phone’s photo app. It doesn’t render the camera view within the app like the barcode scanner does. So permissions for the image picker and the barcode scanner are probably quite a bit different. I would check permissions for Safari and and permission settings within the browser settings.
