Roles

I want to create a public app and setup roles for my visitors to only access tabs and menus that are specific to their interests. Example: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Softball, etc. I will have an unlimited number of visitors. If I select the Private Pro App plan to have the ability to create roles, will I be charged for public users? Or, is it possible to have a public app when using a Private Pro plan?

Hey, I think you can either do one or another, both both.

If the data doesn’t have any security reasons to be hidden. You can just set a user type column for say basketball, football etc. in their profile. Then just use this column for filtering on the tabs.

If set the profiles up the way you suggesting, can purchase the Pro App plan and accomplish this profile setup?

You can, simply add a column with the tittle row in your users profile sheet and create the roles yourself. Roles from Glide are for private apps

Yup, I do something similar. I just have a column called ‘user’ and then I use filters to show/ hide tabs & components etc. based on the user type. I have the pro public app

Thanks
