Removing user editing privileges

Before I consider leveling up to a paid plan…I want to see the base operations. When I set up my Glide, user option to edit content was turned off…yet as a guest viewer the edit content button was there and I could edit. Any suggestions how to fix this…does it have to do with it being public with no sign-in or just because its the free plan? As a new Glide, there is no users…thnx for any advice

This comes up often. All editing can be disabled. You just need to find the correct component where any edit buttons are located and remove the button or action that allows you to edit. Turning it off on a collection only removes the option from the collection. It does not remove it anywhere else you may have it in your app, such as the detail screen you see when selecting a collection item.

If I were to guess, you are seeing an edit button on a detail screen after selecting an item on a collection. Check the Title component on that detail screen. It most likely has an action to allow editing. Remove that action.
