Radar integration

Hi Gliders, I wanted to use the Radar integration to convert Geo data into addresses to use in my clients’ apps. The integration looks easy and calls for a key, so I went to sign up with Radar to start a plan and get a get and found it’s a contact-only application. Then I got an email back from them saying Radar was a good fit and their plans start from 6K, a bit steep? Any ideas?

Hi Laurence,

Thanks for reaching out!

Radar is a good fit for converting coordinates into a simple address.

Our commercial agreements start at $6k/year for 1M monthly calls. Here’s more information on the types of use cases we can help power: radar.com/documentation

To check coverage in Australia, could you share rough monthly volume and target regions? Let me know if that works commercially on your side and we can talk through next steps.

Have you followed the directions in the Glide docs? I’m not sure but I would guess that Glide pays the enterprise fee and you pay Glide by usage.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the reply, look I might have missed something, but I added Radar from the integration panel, it was asking for the API key, I don’t have an account yet so went to Radar to sign up and it takes you to a contact us page, filled in my deets, and got the response of the 6k program for usage?

No idea then. Spent some time searching and the best I could find is that they did, or maybe still do, have some sort of self serve or pay-as-you-go pricing. Maybe they are focusing more on enterprise customers and slowly tucking the self serve model under the covers. Not a lot of info out there.

Thanks Jeff, you by chance wouldn’t have any ideas about converting the lat longs I collect on upload and converting them into suburb names, maps are working great but I need users to be able to filter by suburb or location and radar would have been perfect
