Publish the created application to the customer

Hello, what is the publishing method if I create an app in my account and I want to publish it for someone and he had the app in his account but his data was also stored in his account? I need to be able to edit this app further for minor modifications. What should I do??

Your question is a little confusing. Let me try and restate your scenario, and please correct me where I get it wrong.

  • You created an App in your team
  • You made a copy of the App and transferred the copy to your customers team
  • You now want to edit the customers copy of your App

Is that right?

I want to share the app I created

my partner would have it in his account but I can only update the app but I don’t want access to the date. Is it possible to do this or is there a guide somewhere on all the ways to share and publish?

I believe there’s virtually no way to prevent you from seeing data if you’re still able to build the app.

I would love it if this were possible in Glide. If it doesn’t exist yet, this would be a nice feature request.

I don’t know much about software development outside of Glide, but I assume there are thousands of software companies that develop software, distribute it, perhaps even host and run the software, but they never have access to encrypted data of users using the somewhere.

Personally I think this should be the norm of software development. The software would be the skeleton or shell of the product, and user data would be the meat that makes the software come to life in every day usage. There is no good reason, as far as I can see, for a software editor to have access to user data.
