Private app access as employees change?

This is an internal app and the Users table includes staff, plus a couple people outside the organization. Access for the app is set to the Users table.

If an employee moves on or is fired and I don’t want them to be able to log in at all, but I want their info accessible for a period of time (what jobs they were on, etc), do I need to add a separate table of current login emails to manage access to the app? There’s no way to still use the Users table, but restrict or filter in some way, right?

I just experimented with using a helper table based on the Users table, but it only worked when the email was an Email basic column, not a computed column.

You can either have a separate whitelist table like you mentioned, or just change the email in the user table to some fake email or domain sonthebuser can no longer log in.

Oh, right, thanks for the reminder. That will work fine to change the email. I like to add zzz’s in front.
