My spreadsheet contains a list of names with each name being assigned a number eg 1. Jane Smith 2. Mary Brown etc Glide used to follow the spreadsheet just fine but now the new Glide format puts it in this order… 1. 10., 11., 12. … 2. 20. etc
I need it to reference the spreadsheet so it is numerical order (is it the fact that the number has a full stop after the number?
Thank you
Go to the Glide Data Editor and check the column type. Make sure it is a number type column.
So your column contains the number with the name as well, is that correct?
Is it a problem if you have the number in a separate column, the name in a separate column, and join them with a template column? Then you can sort by the number column.
Hi, yes it is so I did separate and now working as I wanted.
I don’t think this can be done but I’ll ask anyway LOL
The list now looks like this (it is a dance competition). What I would really like to do is when a section has completed, people can tap on the title of the section eg 1. 15+ Student Choreograpy and see the results.
I currently do that with a list of just the section names, but if I can do it with the competitor names as well that would be great.
Thanks, Jeanette
I assume you have a separate table with all section names. If not, you should add that.
Then, add a collection to the screen, in each item, add a list collection with all related results of that section, or just a few, and the user can click the section item to view all related results.
Thank you so much! I’ve been playing with your suggestions and I’ve made headway, just one more ‘wish’…
Currently, the section name is not a link to tap. If I tap on a competitor’s name the results page comes up, and it shows me the results page to select the section I want.
But… I think people will try and tap on the name of the section rather than a name. Is it possible to have the section name the one to tap on and show the results page?
**love the slide up
