I haven’t loved a release this much for a long time, especially for an agency like LCA. Thank you so much.

At my own tiny level, this is going to be very useful. This opens up the possibility to collaborate in real-time and simultaneously with clients.

Up until now I’ve had to rely on screen-sharing to collaborate with clients and we’ve had to coordinate working hours since two team members couldn’t be working on the same app at the same time.

I can’t wait to try this.

Thank you very much for this release.

This will be immensely helpful. Switching back and forth between data editor and builder was always a pain point.

This is great!

As a solo builder, it would be great, if possible I could copy and paste across the multiplayer session.

I.e i was building a new screen on “Player 1” that reused multiple components from the screen “Player 2” had open

but i still had to navigate through the app on Player 1 to copy and navigate back to my work in progress screen to paste

Nevertheless! amazing feature nice work

Here is my feedback:

  1. How do I know if someone else is editing the project with me?

  2. How do I know which tab or data table they are in?

  3. When one of us clicks the “Publish Changes” button, what happens? Does it save both of our work, or just one of us?

  4. How about “Viewing as” ? can we see who the other developer using for “Viewing as”?

Thanks in advance.

Jeff - do you mean having one tab as the Layout editor and another as the Data editor and switching between to the two tabs versus stuck in the single builder? There are many instances when I am checking a table (which is NOT the Layout screen table) in the Data editor and after going to the Layout editor I have lost the context of the Data builder.

One Issue i encountered here was that some features start glitching. Like i was trying to create role based access for row ownership and even though all was set straight, it wasn’t working! Then i switched off multiplayer mode and it worked!
In another separate instance, i deleted some data tables but the other editor could still see them.
In general its a boon since it allows for real time collab but when changes are being made by both the editors there are chances currently where instances as described above cause confusions and delays.
Just my 2 cents!

That is Amazing!!!

Hey, Akshit, would you be able to create a recording of any of the bugs you encountered? This would help us debug. Thank you!

Hey, Gideon, answers below:

  1. This is not currently available at this time. We will consider adding this in the future.
  2. Same answer as above.
  3. If any user publishes changes, it will publish all pending changes for all users.
  4. Same answer as the first question. Could you elaborate on why you would want to see who another user is impersonating?

I would recommend using the same method as Google Collaboration like what you see in the top right of the page.
