FWIW — I had a fun afternoon project that sought to

  1. allow raffle prize winners to select their prizes
  2. prevent raffle prize winners to select prizes until the previous winner selects theirs
  3. eliminate their prize from the list of available prizes
  4. send a confirmation email to the winner
  5. send an email to the next winner that they are now eligible to select their prize
