And it takes two attempts to close it. I don’t think this used to be there?

Same issue in one of my apps (for but not present in another). Not sure what the reason for it happening in one and not the other… only difference is the number of choices — app where it’s happening has more than 5 options… app where it’s not happening only has 2 choices.

Good clue. That little button has been getting around…from the progress bar to here. 
Good catch will find and kill the button.
