How to use offline mode?

Hi, there have been a few times where I’ve lost internet connection (SuddenLink should be called SuddenLost), and a bar appears “you are offline, you can read, but not make any changes”.

However, today, when I was “in the field”, I had spotty internet, and the only message I got was “Unable to connect – RETRY”. Since I’ve used the app 100 times, it seems to me the data (or most of it) would already be on my device. Is there a reason this works from the desktop designer but not from the app in the field?

I think you must have some sort of connection with the app before the Internet service goes down for offline mode to be usable. In your case, it seems like Glide can not connect to your device from the start, so that offline mode can’t be used.
