How to use API Column?

I have this website which provides API with respect to Govt. data.
I am looking to use this particular API which gives information regarding company based on CIN (CIN is Company registration number).

I have no idea how API works. Can someone help me understand this? Sample CIN is U52335OR2011PTC014626.
