How to create a greeting for each user in text fields on various screens

I am finally rebuilding a classic app in the new(ish) format.

I want to add “Welcome ” to several screens on the app. In the classic app I created the greeting in the user table - then linked to it from the individual screens using the user profile link that is always available as a link to insert data in a text component. However, this dies not seem to be available in the new format so I am wondering how to achieve the same result.

I have attached a screen shot of the classic app and the column in the user profile that I want to link to.

Is this possible?

It should be. Have you configured User Profiles correctly?

I don’t know what I did wrong before - I had the app open - realised I had not configured user profiles - connected the user profile sheet but still could not see the profile data in the options on my screen layout. Now when I have opened it again it is there. Thanks for your help.
