How I Stopped Wasting Time on Glide Projects

How I Stopped Wasting Time on Glide Projects — and Created a Simple Method That Works Every Time

When I started building apps with Glide, I often jumped straight in — excited and full of ideas.

But too many times I got stuck.
:chart_decreasing: Data wasn’t organized.
:cyclone: Logic became complicated and confusing.
:brick: The user experience didn’t flow well.

Often, I had to start over from scratch.

The problem wasn’t Glide. The problem was not having a clear process.

After working on many projects and learning from each, I developed a straightforward, repeatable framework that I now use on every project.

I call it:

S.T.A.R.T.

S – Specify
Define what the system should do and who it’s for.

T – Tidy Data
Clean and organize all the data your app will use.

A – Assemble UI
Build clear, intuitive screens designed for your users.

R – Run Logic
Set up workflows, actions, and automations to make the app work smoothly.

T – Test
Test thoroughly to ensure everything functions perfectly.

This method changed how I build Glide apps. It saves time, reduces frustration, and helps deliver powerful, usable systems — fast.

If you’re building with Glide, follow these steps. It will save you headaches.
