Had an Experience launching a glide app? Share your Experience!

Hello All,
I want to see if someone had an experience launching a customer-facing application (perhaps an MVP). and succeeded. I have concerns regarding the following:
1- how did you launch it.
2- how did you get users to use it.
3- how did you collect feedback.
4- and most importantly how did you managed paying for a plan while your product is still in MVP phase.

i currently have a product I built using the free plan. but upgrading to maker makes me 86$ short monthly and without any revenue in return for this stage really sets me back. any tip or suggestion to help guide me ?
thanks

Hi Abdul,
I am a beginner and I was on a legacy plan but now that I see the workflow functionality, I am going to get a subscription to the MAKER level.
I am very motivated to help you with Item 4 of your question…I do not have the knowledge or experience to help with the other 3 parts to your question.
I don’t have. any suggestions on how you can avoid the license fee of $86 per month NOR do I have any suggestions on how you could recoup that money, at such an early stage -
What I do have for you however is something that can help you be very happy about spending the $86 per month. :grinning:
It is by giving yourself a “mindset” shift.
What is that ?
Well it is quite simple - instead of having a mindset that you are losing $86 per month, change your thinking and re-frame what you are doing so that you see yourself making an INVESTMENT into your future…An investment that will in time, if you do the work to be successful, will return your initial $86 per month investment… plus give you an on-going revenue stream into the future.
In fact - The US 86 per month is actually a very small investment when you actually consider the VALUE of this community and the assistance you get from multiple experts, in real time, there to help you with questions. This type of assistance is PRICELESS - and gives you the critical differentiator in ensuring your investment will be highly successful.
Hope this helps…
In business, there is “nothing for nothing”…

thanks for your comment alan. i understand that this could be an investment. but i am talking about a launch plan. is there a way to regain this initial investment at the MVP stage. and keep in mind that this has to be done monthly. so if there is no clear plan in the future then it is hard for me to invest an X amount without knowing when is the ROI of it.
appreciate your support and thanks

Hi Abdul,
Again, this is not a technical or Glide specific suggestion but perhaps you could consider taking on a partner who could shoulder, or share the investment, in return for a share of the future profits?
From what I understand, to bring a product to market (depending on what it is B2b, B2C, will require significantly more investment than the cost of the product software development license?
Or is your product something that can cover costs with a single client?
(You say your product is “customer facing” but not really sure what you mean by that.)
I also am now suspecting that you are asking about the launch of an MVP with the emphasis being on the fact that the launch is of an MVP rather than a more complete and refined product,Is that correct?

If it is a B2B internal type product, think about giving an extended free trial - say a 6 month trial to a customer who can be a “beta tester” and potentially a great future reference. This can enable you to achieve a reference site and then traction…I realised some time back that if you can’t “give something away for free”, you will never sell it.
There is a very good book on this topic called “Crossing the Chasm” by Geoffrey A. Moore where the topic is focussed on product adoption - Have you heard of this book?
