Google Tag Manager detailed pathway tracking

Hello everyone,

I’ve been wanting to track the pathway of my page events. May app allows the user to select a company, search the rejection code, once open the rejection code it allows the user to read the intervention action.
Very simple 2 clicks. What I want to do is to be able in GA4 to see that the pathway to the second click. Ex.

Insurance Company-Company A, Insurance Rejection(i)- Company A
or
Insurance Company-Company B, Insurance Rejection (i) - Company B

Two different insurance companies can have the same name for a Rejection (i) but I want to know which company it originated from.
This way I can see how many people looked at Rejection(i) from Company A vs. Company B

If I can get this type of specific detail I can create more detailed reports.

Thank you!!

@Katelyn_Alberts Do you have any insights here? Thank you.

You can track this on GA as long as each page you’re counting has it’s own ROW ID. So if the companies rejection page has it’s own row in the database you can track it through the page path on GA.

If not, the only way to track the clicks is to tally them in app, as far as I understand at least!

for example, if you go to 'engagement", and then ‘pages and screens’, you’ll see the activity through different pages and all the paths end in a row id - if there is one.

so you’ll want to connect GA to a google sheet or table, then extract the last section (row id) after the last / to attach it to a page name, in your case possible the insurance company or their specific rejection, and then create tallies on how many times that page has been visited.
