When entering certain characters (æ, ø, å) names and e-mails will be distorted in the Glide table.
These characters should not ‘behave’ differently than any other character.
Example: I’ve through a form entered the e-mail of a user, which is test@å.dk - this shows up as test@xn–5ca.dk instead, once the form is submitted. The data is also incorrect in the table itself.
This is however not a good solution, as customers may have special characters in their e-mails and they need to be able to sign-up with their own company e-mail.
That’s very interesting, I didn’t know special characters were accepted in email addresses. I live in Berlin, Germany, and there special characters are not used in email addresses, and instead a combination of normal characters replaces special characters:
ß → ss
ä → ae
ö → oe
ü → ue
Email addresses in your company don’t have an alias that removes special characters?
