Future of no-code development

With AI getting better everyday, what are your thoughts on starting a no-code developer career in 2025?

Still a good path to follow or will anyone be able to create complex apps with a few prompts in the near future?

No-code and AI go hand in hand seamlessly. I believe this is a promising career path.

I agree with @MaximeBaker here, and you’ll see the same in a lot of conversations around the broader low/no-code space.

All these methods are trying to make software development more approachable.

E.g.

  • Low-Code = Reduces the volume and complexity of code
  • No-Code = Replaces code with visual editing, “building blocks”
  • AI = Replaces code with natural language and conversational prompting

That’s my mild take on it, anyway.

For folks interested in this space as a career path, I’d broaden your thinking to be more about solving problems through systems and processes.

That’ll help you find clarity on what needs to be built, then you can choose the best approach depending on what you’re building.

You could start with a prompt, modify with no-code, then get into more specific details with low-code (bit of custom JavaScript, CSS, etc).

I think the best thing with AI No code builder, is that you can still use code in your prompt and it will work!!!
