It is possible to have the Hint component in an ADD form.

If you create your own form from a details layout, then you can already do this (and a lot more).

I know, I would love to, but unfortunately I have to use an add form.

The Hint is available in “Detailed layout” and “Edit form”. See you soon in “Form Add”!?!
