I have an old app that used emoji reactions. I see the that I am still able to create a column for emojis, however, I have not been able to find the emoji reactions component. Is this reaction component still available?
If this is a component a little bit like what one would see on LinkedIn, the ability to react to a post with one of 5-6 emojis, I think you could recreate it by having a table with the emojis, then using either a choice component or a button block.
I was looking for these components from the Classic app because when it was converted, I was lift with a message that said that there should be a âreaction componentâ there. However, those components no longer exist and it was causing a bit of confusion in my older app. I was able to recreate it.
Glide Classic Apps are now a deprecated (old) product from Glide, and not all the features from classic apps were carried over to Glideâs now existing app builder. A lot was carried over, and Glideâs current product is so much more advanced than classic that the two products are barely comparable. It so happens that the reaction component, which I had totally forgotten about at this point, was not carried over, either because it is still on the roadmap or perhaps it was decided that the component wasnât sufficiently used by Glide builders.
Some components and flows can be built for sure. I still wish that we had an extra few: a countdown timer, tabbed containers, accordion, a timeline, flip box, confirmation modal.
