Currently, when using an app on a desktop/in browser, the email component, when clicked, opens the email composer in the same tab replacing the Glide app. Please allow an option to “open email in new tab” for this component so users of the app don’t have to navigate away from the app.

Does it react any different between an installed (add to homescreen) app compared to an app just opened in a browser? On my phone the email component opens the Gmail app instead of a browser window.
It does. The app, when installed on a phone, indeeds opens the default mail app. On a desktop, it opens the mail composer (eg gmail) in the same window and replaces the glide app.
