DocsAutomator, getting public access to images

I have images that need to be placed in the PDF, but they dont come up.

When I manually navigate to the image URL I get the following:

I am using the “Create Preview” in the DocsAutomator app. Not sure if that makes a difference?

Does anyone know how I can give the image public access, as I think that is why they are not showing up in the PDF.

Is this image in your Glide storage?

Yes, at this URL: https://storage.googleapis.com/glide-prod.appspot.com/uploads-v2/jssrTkcm2Rd8rrLo4ylY/pub/zKiYxyWwZR7GnQNeX3z6.jpg

I can click and view it normally. Is the problem only presented when you try to add it to DocsAutomator?

Yes, I just saw that… I dont remember it working like that before I asked for help… I am just testing now to see whats going on.

This is how DocsAutomator renders the text and images (Multiple Images):

{“insarea”:“1”,“item”:“Main Walls”,“appearance”:“Acceptable”,“substrate”:“Walls”,“productname”:[“Dulux Rainshield”],“quality”:“Acceptable”,“coat”:“Fibre Reinforced”,“testresult”:“N/A”,“locationarea”:“Village 2”,“action”:“N/A”,“facade”:“N/A”,“comments”:“View of full Rainshield application. Martin reported that a full primer and two Rainshield coats are applied followed by the two Weatherguard Ultrasmooth coats.”,“Inspection Images”:[“[https://storage.googleapis.com/glide-prod.appspot.com/uploads-v2/jssrTkcm2Rd8rrLo4ylY/pub/93qXJ4FB2NByrkjMTwcd.jpg”,“https://storage.googleapis.com/glide-prod.appspot.com/uploads-v2/jssrTkcm2Rd8rrLo4ylY/pub/zKiYxyWwZR7GnQNeX3z6.jpg”,“https://storage.googleapis.com/glide-prod.appspot.com/uploads-v2/jssrTkcm2Rd8rrLo4ylY/pub/r53u45GQQDv2ksVGSQJB.jpg”]}]

I seem to be getting the following at the end of the image string: “%22%7D%5D”

https://storage.googleapis.com/glide-prod.appspot.com/uploads-v2/jssrTkcm2Rd8rrLo4ylY/pub/SUj56kxwYjpe0GQq1ha3.jpg"}]

There must be some error in my syntax

The string represents

  • %7D}
  • %5D]

I am trying to see where/how they get pulled in.

Does DocsAutomator support multiple images like that though? What are you trying to render over there?

@Rupert Can you please check this case?

I assume so… but I am currently testing a single image to render… no luck

I would suggest reviewing the docs.

Thanks for tagging @ThinhDinh!

Hi @Adrian_Rodgers, could you reach out in DA’s support chat? Lots of users are adding multiple images to documents and I’m sure we can get this to work quickly

Thanks @Rupert … but not sure how to get to the DA support chat. Could you post a link to it. Thanks.

When you’re logged in (https://app.docsautomator.co), you should see the chat in the lower right corner

I am obviously missing something, as I dont see the chat… I thought it was due to not having a subscription so I subscribed… still no chat… I dont know if I have to wait for the subscription to become active.

Something in your browser seems to block the chat. Can you please reach out to rupert@docsautomator.co? I’ll get back to you there then. Thank you!

I used Microsoft Edge have been able to see the chat
