Default "No results found" message for in-app search and in-app filtering

I’ve searched but can’t find anything definitive on this, or any existing feature request to vote up. Is there a specific reason why Glide’s in-app filtering and default search components don’t display a simple “No results found” message when no matching records exist?

I know there are options when using custom search and filtering, but why not on built-in Glide components. From a UX perspective, it’s seems like a no brainer. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thx!

It’s a great feature request if it doesn’t already exist. I believe it’s been requested, with the ability to configure the wording.

To answer your question “is there a specific reason why”: my guess is that other development features take precedence, and the message was not originally scoped when the feature was developed. At this point, Glide engineers would probably classify this as a minor bug: a cosmetic or trivial issue that does not affect core functionality. Arguable of course.

Good feature request though.

@nathanaelb I appreciate you getting back to me on this. I’ll guess I’ll keep searching and try to find the existing request and vote it up. Thx!

I had a look in advanced search and couldn’t find that feature requests either. I’m not saying it’s not there.

If you feel like it, you could create the feature request. You never know!
