I previously started Dance Vocab with a developer and we built iOS and Android apps. The dev and maintenance costs were getting unsustainable and when I discovered Glide, I loved the idea of being able to implement the features I wanted myself. I’m primarily a Product Designer, but when I saw how intuitive it was to pick up Glide, I started to consider if I could rebuild the app from scratch. Over the course of over the last year, I had limited time to work on this as this is my side hustle. Today I finally pushed the final version of our app, build completely on Glide.

2020 was a crazy year to say the least and our team had to divert their attention to other pressing matters temporarily. But through it all, we held on to a vision for better tools and resources for dancers, and we’re thankful you’ve stayed with us and are reading this now

We are a very small team and the cost of maintaining the site was getting unsustainable so we had to reengineer the whole app from the ground up. It is now much more sustainable and we feel it’s even better than what we had before!

DANCER PROFILES
You can now add your Profile Pic, Bio, Country, Favorite Styles, Level, Instagram link. Once you add those you’ll become discoverable in Community categories throughout the app.

HOME FEED
You now will see a feed of the latest Dance Vocab videos as they come out, plus new videos shared by the community! And you can filter the feed to focus just on the type of dance content you want to see.

COMMUNITY SECTION
You can now discover/be discovered by dancers around the world organized by categories. Travelling (post-RONA times) and want to connect with dancers in another country? Done!

SUBMIT YOUR DANCE VIDEOS
FINALLY!You can now submit YOUR dance videos to be more discoverable on Dance Vocab. Just hit the “Submit Video” button at the top of the Home Feed
