Custom collections cause disappearing components?

I’m looking for some guidance on a strange issue in my Glide app. I built a screen with four containers, each representing a step in my data-collection process. In the final container (Step 4), I added a Custom Collection to format data pulled in Step 3 via Make.com. Almost immediately after adding that Custom Collection, every other container and its components vanished from the Layout Editor—only the collection remained. It feels as though the collection is overwriting everything else. This has happened twice now, and I can’t keep rebuilding the screen from scratch. I’m even considering switching platforms if I can’t resolve it. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

This doesn’t make sense, because it is not possible to insert a Custom Collection into an existing Container. A Custom Collection is kind of special in that it is both a Collection and a Container at the same time.

Any chance you can create a video to show how to replicate the issue, or at least add some before/after screen shots that show your components panel?

I wish I had better information for you, Darren. Luckily I created a back up of my app just before the issue happened. Here is a before and after of the mssing components comparing the backup (before) to the orginal app (after). Not much to go on I’m afraid…

Okay, and so you add a Custom Collection to that screen and all other components disappear, yes?

I’ve been trying to replicate that behaviour, and I can’t. So I think we’re missing something.
