Combine text from two columns

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know of a way that I can combine text from two columns beside each other into one new column. For example:

Column A. Column B Output
A1 A A1A
A1 B A1B
A1 C A1C
A1 D A1D
A1 E A1E
A1 F A1F

I tried a template but since Column A has the same values it cannot combine the columns. If anyone has any ideas please let me know?

Cheers

My chart got messed up after posting

Column A - A1, A1, A1, A1, A1
Column B - A, B, C, D, E, F
Output - A1A, A1B, A1C, A1D

It should be that simple. How did you configure your template column?

I think the issue I am facing is that Column A must appear first when combined.

So when I do a template it try’s to search the two columns but cannot give a output because Column A is the same value

I still don’t understand. Can you show a screenshot of your template column configuration? All you need is two random values in your template (such as AB or XY). Replace the first one with Column A and replace the second one with Column B.

Thank you Jeff - I was using the template column incorrectly, it all works now
