I see there has already been discussion about wanting to filter the choices, or have more control about the sources - agree.
But shouldn’t the choice allow empty values? If I start with an empty cell, then choose a value (single select) there’s no way to un-select back to empty.
Does it make a difference if you set the choice component to required or not?
I don’t see a way to do that in the new table version of choice
I’m not familiar with this at all.
New table component, Column type: Choice

The new table component doesn’t allow for this “de-selecting” you’re describing. You could always just add a button-style column next to the choice column that has an action to “Clear” the chosen value, with a condition on it that chosen value is not empty (so button doesn’t show when nothing has been chosen yet). Sorry— typed this response up fast, I can screenshot some stuff later if this method doesn’t make sense.
It makes sense it just seems like an unnecessary workaround if the component would work like regular choice components do in Glide

I think Glide needs to improve it just like the regular choice component. I’ve only seen empty cells from the source being able to be used as choices but not being displayed clearly.
