Is there a way to change the “New Item” title at the top of the page? I’d like to make it something like “New Invite” - is there somewhere I can update that?

No, cannot edit this label but others have asked recently so hopefully we’ll be able to in the future.

Any updates or progress on this? Seems like a simple thing to allow editing of a text label.

Still not able to modify the label.
Keep an eye on staging.glideapps.com, you may find this feature whenever it’s done 
The only way to do this is to make your own add item screen with the button to add a row
