Can't connect to G sheets, cannot upload documents

I’m attempting to create a new app by various menthods. Linking to Google Sheets and uploading an .xls file are both not working.
Google sheets will not connect. I attempted all the troubleshooting methods provided on this forum. The server times out when trying to upload documents. I tried different WiFi networks at home. Can anyone assist here?

When attempting to connect G sheets, no files are available as image below. The xls upload nothing happens, just indicates “uploading” but never uploads. I tries clearing cookies, cache, logging out, making sure that I am logged into the correct google account, tried different browsers, tries different networks. I was able to upload documents yesterday,

Are you wanting to permanently connect the Google Sheet to the App so the data stays in sync between the two, or just do a one time import of the data?

If the latter, I’d recommend exporting to CSV first, and then import the CSV to Glide.

If the former, check your plan. It’s not possible on the Free or Explorer plans.

I was hoping to use G Sheets as the database source. I am paying for the Maker plan. But because that did not work I also tired to import the downloaded .xls doc.

I went through these steps several times. I no longer receive an error but no files are available to select once the connection is attempted. I am still not able to upload files either.

Your screenshot suggests that Glide is connected via a different Google Account to the one the spreadsheet you are wanting to attach resides in.

Question: are you using Google authentication to sign in to Glide?

Also, have you tried the CSV upload option that I suggested earlier?

I made sure to sign out of all google accounts and made sure to login to the correct account which is registered with Glide. I am signing with Google. Not sure if that is the same thing as authenticator,. The CSV upload option will not upload documents. It just continues to indicate “Loading” and this goes on for eternity until the browser has enough and times out.

Okay, I’m sorry but I’m out of suggestions. You may be best at this stage to reach out to Glide Support so they can take a closer look. You can do this via the chat bubble in the bottom right corner of the builder.
