Hey guys, I came across glide and I am blown away but how amazing it is! HOWEVER I am struggling with linking forms to create a leaderboard and I need it up and running by Friday. Anyone that is clued up on this willing to help me?
What have you done so far?
Hi Maxime,
I hope you are well. Since I sent the request I actually started again with a blank canvas because as I was trying to make changes I was weaving myself into a bigger mess but on the blank canvas I was starting to understand where I went wrong on the first one to the point where I thought I cracked it until I published it and realised there were still some glitches. The app we are running a fitness challenge so my app has 3 tabs tab1 users where everyone loads their profile and we can see whether they are active or dis qaulified. Tab 2 leader board I set this as a relation and made it roll up there duration accumulative and their number of work outs using their unique emails tab 3 activity I added a button with a form where they can add their activities.
I wanted this tab to only show the users activities and not all users which I used the AI tool to set up but it seem all activities from multiple users showing. I then created my profile and got my partner to create a profile to test the leaderboard but what’s happening is that when one person enters their activity it rolls up their quantities to all the users names and not just theirs.
Our challenge starts on Friday so I really need to crack this and my heads telling me it’s a simple fix that I’m just not experienced enough to troubleshoot and fix?
When I use the AI step by step it’s still not quite working.
Sounds like you just need a filter to show items where email is signed in user.
You will need a relation or query to link the user to their data, and then set the roll-up to use that relation or query instead of the table.
Thank you Jeff I thought I had done that, any chance you’d beable to help me make sure that is working and assist with adding the filters?
I’m at my day job right now, so only able to pop in and out of the forum.
As Jeff suggested, in the Users table, create a Query column targeting the table with the values you want to roll up, filter on the user. Now in the Users table, each user row will have its values only. Apply a Rollup column on those values.
