I think this could make teamwork in Glide much smoother. If you agree, please give it a vote so we can get this on the roadmap!
Description:
Currently, when people are added to a Glide Team, they can see all apps in that team. This creates problems when multiple sub-groups are working on different apps in the same team space.
Request:
Add an option to assign members to specific apps only within a team, so they only see and access the apps they are working on.
Example Use Case:
-
In my Glide team, I have App A and App B.
-
Team A members should work only on App A.
-
Team B members should work only on App B.
-
Today, both groups can see both apps, which can cause confusion, accidental edits, and privacy concerns.
Benefits:
-
Better security and confidentiality between projects.
-
Less risk of accidental changes to apps.
-
Cleaner, less cluttered interface for team members (they only see the apps they need).
-
Makes Glide more practical for agencies, freelancers, and organizations managing multiple client projects in one team space.
Suggested Implementation:
-
In the “Members” section of Team Settings, allow admins to select which apps each member can access.
-
Default could remain “access all apps,” but with an option to restrict per app.
Thank you
