I understand that the new “New Table” component is in Beta, but only wanted to mention that Glide team should please not forget to include the ability to “Sort Data” as its not currently showing under the “Option” tab.

I’d classify this as a bug rather than a feature request 
Until it is fixed, an effective workaround is to use a sorted query as the source of the table.
Also, my understanding is that we will eventually get dynamic column sorting in the new table.

the “New Table” component is big news for me. I have been tied up in a big project on site for a few months and only just cracked open Glide again - so I am delighted to see this! Such an improvement over the legacy table component.
@Darren_Murphy - I am able to sort dynamically per column. Literally only been playing with the component for 30 mins so it would be a coincidence and a half if it has only just been added!
I quite agree it needs to be added as an option - and I would like the option to turn off dynamic per column sorting too.

Glide have been busy!
Grouping is added now to the new table component (which I have been asking for for literally years!) and there is a new striped option
Grouping and sorting in new tables does not work if the source is a child table (master-detail).

Sorting now available in the options section of the New Table.
Sorting by group is fixed at alphabetical it seems. Would be lovely to be able to set the sort order of each group too (as you can in Airtable)
