1000 Barcode Scans Limit

Hello @david ,

Is there an option to have unlimited barcode scans for the pro?

In order for me to launch my app for my customer… I need unlimited scans :expressionless:

For now, unlimited scans are only available on the enterprise plan: Enterprise • Glide

Starting at $999/mo? I’m too broke for that…

“ Sadly, we do not have a plan available for agencies or app resellers at this time.

Please keep an eye out later this year for updated plans around our agencies and resellers.”

All I need is the barcodes, everything else is perfect. Can we work something out?

@david just wondering which use cases that you know where barcodes are a requirement and can accept a cost of 999$/mo. (Could be interesting to understand)
Or maybe the barcoding service is just expensive.

I think that the enterprice plan of 999$/month is for making more than one app not all this price for an app of barcodes. Then if you have lots of apps (a lot) you can afford it. But obviously not for one.

Yes, but it’s for private networks. I don’t even qualify for the plan.

When we offer a feature on our Enterprise plan, it’s because we already have Enterprise plan customers who asked for it. Barcode scanning was built for one of these customers, for example.

Also, how could you need unlimited barcode scans? Would one billion scans per month be enough, or do you actually need unlimited? Please tell us a bit more detail about your use case.

Hello David,

Thanks for the response and recognition,

I’m dealing with a business of warehouses which holds constant incoming and outgoing inventory… house hold goods… etc. inventory system I’m building will be designed to host and sync with drivers/trucks also.

I also plan to use the app for other moving industries such as vehicles, shipping, etc. possibility turning it into freight/moving brokerage and a power lead generation system… possibilities are endless. I have direct access to this market for bring on clients.

On an wide variable average the amount of inventory a client/house includes can range from a dozen to a couple of hundred. Calculated that on an average of 5 per day for example. Plus 5-10% error of scanning an item more than once by accident or so… that each accident would be 2 scans, in and out.

We run into a very fast scalability issue here! Which nulls the effectiveness…

Please help!

I have accomplished an amazing thing with glide and want to be one of the many success stories being a part of the community.

I am just an individual who wants to succeed and is pulling every string I have and building what ever skills I can along the way.

Glideapps has been a big part of this journey and I want to have a successful transition into the next stage!

Sincerely,

Kaha Krikheli

For a four bedroom house, you will typically need a box count that looks something like this:

  • 25-40 medium boxes
  • 15-25 large boxes
  • 10-15 extra large boxes
  • 2-5 bulky/oddly shaped boxes
  • 8-10 wardrobe boxes (if needed)

Your total amount of boxes, depending on how many items you plan on packing and the sizes of boxes you choose, could actually be somewhere between 75-100 boxes . Again, amount of boxes will vary greatly depending on your belongings, amount of rooms to pack, and box sizes

Scan all the barcodes you wants for $35 one time fee!

for iOS users. this is free https://apps.apple.com/us/app/scankey-qr-ocr-nfc-keyboard/id1356206918

@kahakun It seems like your barcode scanning frequency is a lot. Glide’s pricing plan works best for smaller volumes. You can use Utilize, they allow unlimited barcode scans in their $60 plan and having tried their scanner, they have better accuracy. Hope this helps.
