Usage and "Syncs"

In the Usage dashboard, one can see the number of updates. For my plan, 5000 updates are included. In the past two months, for the first time ever I’m exceeding that number of updates. The culprit seems to be “syncs.” For example, between Tuesday and Friday the number of syncs increased by nearly 1,000. I’m trying to diagnose that, but I can’t really determine what constitutes a sync and there is no way in the dashboard to determine what is contributing to the number of syncs, or even which apps by number of syncs. I’ve looked at the top three apps listed in the dashboard and none of them have extra sync turned on.

Is there some way to troubleshoot this or get more detail about which app might by causing this spike in syncs?

What plan are you on? If you are on a legacy plan, updates are counted for the following:

  1. adding, editing, and deleting data
  2. syncing external data
  3. actions and computed columns from integrations

Syncs would increase if you added an external data source such as Google Sheets or Airtable, or really any of the external data sources available on your plan.

I’m on the Business Plan. While it’s changed a bit since I signed up (including, I now see, dropping in price by $50) it includes 5000 updates. So how are those counted in that plan. Also you’re saying “updates” but I’m specifically asking about the “sync” which is what is going through the roof. The app with the highest number of “updates” has used 199.
