If you prefer users not to directly input into the ‘Data Grid’ and instead prefer using buttons, then you should filter your page to land on the selected row. Otherwise, you will fill into the first row, as by default your landing page is currently the first row.
Your title mentions Google Sheets, do you mean “data Grid”?

The URL you provided is a builder, not a published application. I don’t have access rights to enter. Please explain your issue and what you want to achieve here. Have you tried my instructions above?
Regarding your Google Sheet issue, it’s best to have headers in the first row to avoid confusion for Glide to recognize them. I assume you are on a plan that is always connected to G Sheet.
I want the “Yes” button to write the text “Yes” in the cell chosen by the user.
Row=This item and Column=This item
Same for the “No” button
And the “Text” button edits the cell in text mode.

Yes, first you need to create the list component, then “this item” will indicate which row is targeted. After it’s created, you can add Yes/No buttons to indicate which column to input. Using the set column value, you can fill it with yes/no for the correct row and column (please refer to the document I provided above).
You cannot simply use the cursor to point to a box in the ‘data grid’ and then press a button.

My data table has information that is cross-referenced
The top-left part must be fixed in the application as well as the list of members.
Events must be able to move or be selected so that members can put Yes or No

Have you create a list collection?
Now you can filter out unwanted rows from being displayed. However, it’s advisable to separate these two different blocks of interest into different tables/column so that you don’t need to perform this filtering, while also maintaining the security of your data table.
