Problem with adding custom entries to the choice component

Hello all, I have a question regarding the manual addition of entries to dropdown fields.

I have implemented this using an “Action,” as demonstrated by Robert in one of his videos. However, I am unable to add multiple dropdowns—which can be populated manually—to the “New Article” page.

The following setup works:

Table “Movements” (Bewegungen):

  • Text field: “Category” (Kategorie)

  • Relation: “Category” matches the “Category” text field in the “Categories” (Kategorien) table.

  • Text field: “Subcategory” (Unterkategorie)

  • Relation: “Subcategory” matches the “Subcategory” text field in the “Categories” (Kategorien) table.

with this action.

Somehow it is not possible to add a third one writing in an other table. in my case table shops (Läden). I know the last field in the picture isn’t set up correctly. I had “läden” inside.

Could i also use a button to add a new entries from the" Add article" window?

Thank’s
Alex

Not sure what you are trying to do there. Seems like you are trying to do multiple unrelated things with one single action.

Your workflow is going to go down the first branch if both relations are not empty at the same time. If one or both relations are empty, then it will go to the second ‘else’ branch and add a row.

You are only adding a row if at least one relation is empty.

You’ll need to provide more context about your setup and what you are trying to do.

Hi Jeff,
thank you.

I solved it with 3 invidual “show form screen” actions and apended them with “on submit” workflows.

Thank you
Alex
