Option to log in using any email without PIN authentication

Hi! Is there a way to give our new user to sign in to Glide without going through the PIN authentication? I ticked the “Include magic link to login without PIN” but it still sent a PIN to the user’s email.

Also, we don’t want the new user to be limited only to sign-in using a Gmail account either so we’re trying to toggle off the “Allow Sign-in with Google” but it seems only one method has to be selected.

How can we give the option to our new user to log in using any email without requiring the PIN?

Our account is public and “required sign-in” method is selected. Thanks!

They will still get a PIN, but they should also get a “magic” link in the same email - are they not getting that?

You should be able to select both…

During the first tests I remember having “open using (email)” (I tried using Gmail and Yahoo accounts) and returned me back to the login screen but now the email had an “open app directly” so I think I had tested them under different authentication settings and I haven’t noticed that those are the magic links already.

Is there a workaround wherein we can have the new user sign in on Glide’s login screen using his/her email and not access their email anymore for the PIN/magic link?

Apologies for not being clear but I see the logic now. I was trying to turn off “Allow Sign-in with Google” thinking the email field will come out without asking for a PIN but I didn’t realize that Glide set this up to have one authentication selected thus one will be inaccessible if one option has been turned off.

It would be okay for us to show both the email field and sign-in with Google for the new user to log in but our main problem really is for them not to go out the app and get the PIN/magic link.

I think the only way they can login without going to the email is to use Google authentication.

For PINs, I normally see the PIN on my notification when it pops up anyway, so I rarely have to go to the email.

I see, thanks for the insight. I’m not sure if Google authentication works for us as we prefer to have the user sign in using any email.

We thought there is a standard option in Glide to bypass the PIN/magic link when the user enters any email when signing in but anyway, thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah, this isn’t currently available, because you have to validate that the email belongs to you.
