Currently, columns cannot generate and save files.

Glide wants columns to be able to generate files (images, PDFs), but currently the file tracking features delete those files when you want to keep/save them. This needs to be solved before the Data Editor can generate files. Maybe in the upcoming months, we’ll see.

So for now, OpenAI’s Generate Image feature can only be used as an action in the Action Editor.
