This feature would be absolutely amazing and powerfull : be able to have either a menu global to the whole app, either a menu configurable per app.
For example, the landing page of the app has a menu with some links on other tab. And some other tabs / screens have no menu, or at least a menu with only the sign in and share options.
That would be absolutely great!
I need this feature… Pleeeease ! 
Can you come up with a use case for this. It may be amazing in your mind but I can’t think of a practical need for it. What is your need? What app do you have in mind that would require this feature?
I work on a app, which will be destinated to any user (public app), and a duplicated and enhanced app (admin app) which will be used for configuration and contents management of the public app.
The public app has only one tab and a menu.
The admin app is composed on 2 visible tabs : one for the admin tasks, and a second one is used as a “public app visualisation panel”. So, it will be amazing is I would be able to plug the menu only on the vizualisation tab, in order to have this tab simulating the whole public app. And so, no tab for the admin tasks tab.
My English is not so good, so you may not understand what I mean. I do 
I don’t want my apps with smiley and bananas icons, I want my apps to be pro apps, no bananas and a real added value + pro look and feel and functionalities.
If this feature is not possible, I will change my public app so that there will be no menu.
The two apps just point to the same sheet. You can make them look totally different so there is no dependency besides the spreadsheet.

In fact, it’s not a problem of dependency, just a problem of UI. I guess this feature won’t be implemented, so I will change or adapt.
