Any update on the migration from classic apps to pages?

Iā€™ve tried the ā€œnew app from dataā€ feature but the result is a nightmareā€¦

In the new apps version we currently canā€™t get ā€œfullā€ dark mode like classic? Looks like it just makes the top of the app dark, rest stays white. tks

wow, very sorry to see this update.
a massive downgrade for the app, glad i signed up before this change

The new app is not nearly as mobile friendly or well designed.
and missing the Inline List Map Style,
and not as many style options for cards.

This was a huge mistake. it almost feel like someone completely clueless is making decisions there?

The teamā€™s working on bringing over missing components and features from Classic Apps. Keep an eye on the product updates in your Glide dashboard.

As for mobile friendliness and design issues: is there anything specific youā€™re referring to? The more details we get here, the more we can bring back to the team.

Please add multiple text size options for the new Title Element. Itā€™s now displaying text far to small on most pages.

  1. option to change the map component to a full-screen size
  2. 2:3 and 3:4 vertical image options throughout all elements and views. ie. detailed view of a grid or card component.
  3. Image Array doesnā€™t work. Only display one image and no slide.
  4. Once the image array display is fixed, should include an arrow to the right side of the screen to show that there are more images, and you can slide the picture.
  5. a search field that can be customised. ie the search will search all data or just certain tags

Inline List (Collections in Glide Apps) with OVERLAYS like Button, Tag, Avatar, Avatar text, Caption. Hint control with text centered and I would like get CSS in Pro Plan.

This is most likely not going to happen. CSS has been exclusive to Business/Enterprise since the start.

and its a HUGE mistake , CSS is the standard out there ā€¦you canā€™t make it pay that much orā€¦not even have for PRO usersā€¦i could understand Starters but not for PRO absolutely , then without Css how can we keep up with the massive native gorgeous apps out there?I mean , first Legacy Pro being left behind for new Pricing , then New pricing apps beside Pages , then new pricing apps becoming classic and Pages becoming Appsā€¦, its a little bit confused or is it only me?I understand all the improvements butā€¦continuity is needed for any business.

Well we can talk about this all day, itā€™s a grey area. Users who use a lot of CSS like you would argue against it, whilst ones that have never used it might feel ok with that decision. Personally, as one who has used CSS before, I do like my apps looking good, but itā€™s not a must.

As long as my clients do feel ok with the out-of-the-box design of Glide, then I have more time to focus on the features of the app. I think I adjusted to ā€œlet Glide know what designs are good in my opinion to see if they can integrate thatā€, rather than try doing it myself.

Though, you can still custom-craft a lot of things with HTML.

Well, because of course complaints are always easier to be seen, or at least itā€™s the way in this forum.

never been here for a complain., its useless, iā€™m only seeing a missing marketā€¦could be a lot easier to migrate people from Starter to high plans , maybe here they think that having that package on the entry could instead drive customers away and its not they would win hands down upper and lower marker
