It’s to match in filter. Like if maintenance is Yes then show maintenance Tab and hide others and vice-versa. You will need a value to match in filter condition. Right?
Ok what type of column should I create?
Boolean
Newbie here. Can I edit an already published app? If not, when? If not, what’s the workaround? Thank you. (I see amazing potential for your platform. Congrats!) Dan
Yes, you can edit it. Is it a big edit or smaller edits? For me, I try to do my changes when most of my users are probably asleep, as not to disturb the user experience.
Thank you, but … I could only figure out how to duplicate and then edit the duplicate. Hmmmmmmm….
Yes, that’s a good way to do it. I have a duplicate as well where I test out the changes first, then apply them to the live app during those off times.
Ah! Thanks a great workaround. Much thanks! Dan
Can you explain why you cannot edit your app? All you do to edit an app, is open it in Glide, and make any change… Just like editing a spreadsheet.
David, Yes. It’s working. Not sure why I did not see the edit menus earlier today. Dan
One of the ways I deploy new changes is by creating a new tab (and make it visible only for me) and working on any updates on that tab.
Once I am satisfied with the new tab I created, I simply change the visibility of that tab and replace an existing tab with the new one.
I do it also for complements in specific screens, by now it works
Hi David,
First, thanks for all the great work on Glide.
I was wondering if you have an update on when the feature you mentioned will be ready–that will allow making changes to a published app, but only pushing these changes to the live app when you choose. I can already see how cumbersome and error-prone it will be to roll out new features to my app on an ongoing basis.
More generally, it might be useful to see a list, even if partial, of the features that Glide is working on, or considering working on. Even better if we could vote on the items in this list. Apologies if there’s already such a list that I’m unaware of.
Well said @Deena. I was thinking the same thing on your publish one change at a time point. Publishing controls would be nice to have.
Sorry for delay. This is scheduled to be completed by end of June.
Fantastic, this is welcome news and will certainly ease my tension when making changes on live apps…thanks
it would be amazing to have this feature! (2022)
@XWB The feature you are referring to has been released for a while now.
Any reports of pubishing changes and the data changing? Each time I publish changes I notice one column changes the date to what appears to be old versions of the data.
Publishing Control should only affect the front-end side of things (layout design), not the data.
If you can reproduce it in a video, please share it with us.
