Location component - how does it work , what column type?

Hi guys,

What column type should be for the location component and what does it store in the column ?

You can direct the component at a text column. It will store the latitude/longitude of the users current location.

@Darren_Murphy For me, the location component does not store any data, I have it inside a form screen , should this pe a problem ?

Does your device have location services turned on? Is it capable of acquiring a location? Does it have a GPS receiver?

@Jeff_Hager I used the app on my iPhone and I allowed the location for the app… so yes

Not sure then. It should be saving latitude and longitude coordinates. Nothing special about that. Using it in a form definitely shouldn’t be a problem.
