Yeah, it’s definitely cryptic. I use the kanban to manage individual projects, so I’m continuously moving cards around. Each group is a status level. Most projects start out in the ‘Working On’ group and then move along from there. Then within each group are individual projects. Cards move from group to group as the status changes and sometimes I reorganize cards in the same group depending on priority. I have to wonder if there is a point where there is a max value for the Save Order and I happen to bump into that sometimes. Wish I understood how it was designed to work, or if it used values that made more sense. One advantage is that the Save Order structure allows me to calculate and apply a number to each card (#1, #2, #3, etc.). When I move the cards around the Save Order value is in alphanumeric order, so sorting of cards applies correctly and the numbers update accordingly.
