Glide started 5+ years ago as a way to build mobile apps on top of Google Sheets.
Since then we’ve become a powerful, all-in-one platform for building custom software that adapts to any device.
Glide is tailored to businesses, and we’re proud to have thousands of companies running their operations through custom Glide apps, including familiar names like HP, BMC, Coca-Cola, and Illy Coffee.
Many of those apps are built and supported by our growing community of Glide Experts, and they’re usually designed around the specific needs of a specific client.
While this works for Experts who enjoy taking on client projects, we also know that it’s not the right fit for everyone.
Many of you started using Glide because you had an idea for an app, and Glide was the best way to bring that idea to life.
We also know that many of you don’t (currently) identify as Experts because you’re interested in building your own products, not serving clients.
Introducing the Glide App Marketplace
The Glide App Marketplace is a new way for Glide Experts to promote and sell pre-built Glide apps. It’s also a way for businesses to start using the Glide platform without touching the Builder.
Here’s how it works:
- Customers browse the App Marketplace and try demos
- If they find a Glide app they like, they contact the Glide Expert
- The Glide Expert sells, implements, and supports their Glide app
This is just the beginning.
With the Glide App Marketplace, no-code and low-code developers now have a way to build products on the Glide platform, and get those products in front of real customers.
For Glide Experts who enjoy working on client projects, the App Marketplace can be a source of new leads. E.g. you can sell a Glide app that’s ready for further customization.
For Glide Experts who want to focus on building products, the App Marketplace can be your showroom. Ship Glide apps catering to specific use cases and industries.
Today’s announcement is the first step.
It’s a soft launch of the App Marketplace. We’ll work closely with Certified Experts over the coming weeks to refine the approach and experience before opening up broader access.
How do Experts submit to the App Marketplace?
To list a Glide app, you must be a Glide Certified Expert with an Agency plan and an active listing in the Experts Directory. Additionally, your Glide app must be fully built & viewable within your Agency plan team before you submit.
If you meet these criteria, you can submit your app via the Experts Hub:
Certified Experts can find full details & instructions in the Experts Hub announcement.
