there is this new option, but i haven’t seen any glaring effect.

The components you can choose from change from being colored to black - in the designer area.

it’s not the same option, you’re talking about “High Contrast”, me, it’s an option in “Setting” “Appearance”

Got it - you are looking at Settings - Appearance // and I was looking at ? → high contrast
No idea on your issue then - I have not used the feature so not played around (yet).
It’s not a problem, just a question of its effect.
Settings → Appearance → Accessibility → Increase contrast
I was wondering the same as you, Manu.
One use case I found: the search bar in the “Bold (light)” and “Bold (dark)” themes toggles from the accent color to white. This does not happen with the “Light / Dark” and “Pure (light) / Pure (dark)” themes.
