It would be extremely useful if Glide allowed users to edit images directly within the app, similar to functionality in apps like OneNote or Skitch. This could include:
- Freehand drawing or sketching on top of images
- Adding arrows, text boxes, or highlights
- Pinch-to-zoom or double-tap to zoom in on images
- Saving the annotated version within the app as a new or updated image
Use cases:
- Technical inspections (e.g., windows, installations, damage documentation)
- Clients providing visual feedback on photos
- Creative teams annotating design drafts or mood boards
- Marking up floor plans, product images, or documents
Right now, users have to use external tools to annotate photos, then re-upload the modified images. A built-in solution would significantly improve Glide’s utility, especially for fieldwork, design reviews, and visual collaboration.
