How do I save a template from from an app within an organization?

the option seems only available to ppl that have individual apps.

We are adding this soon! For now, create an app from a template then transfer it to your org.

Is the process to allow transferring apps made from templates to an organization complete? I keep getting a prompt on certain apps not allowing me to transfer them to my org.
